GADGET REVIEW : LOGITECH G613 GAMING KEYBOARD

Image
Logitech G613 Wireless gaming is a luxury that wasn't witnessing much appeal in gaming. The Logitech G613 is one of the products to make its way to the local market before other manufacturers jump on the wireless bandwagon. Using Logitech's LIGHTSPEED wireless technology, the keyboard can connect to your PC or laptop using a USB dongle. It also has the option of connecting via Bluetooth. You can switch between the LIGHTSPEED and Bluetooth connection with the respective buttons on the keyboard. Essentially, you can use the keyboard with your PC as well as your smartphone or tablet. Built on a plastic body, there's minimal flex on the chassis. Overall, the build quality on the G613 is impressive apart from the keycap printing. The legends on the keycap are stickers that generally don't have a long lifespan. The keyboard uses Logitech's Romer-G mechanical switches boasting a lifespan of 70 million keystrokes. They feel similar to Cherry MX Browns because ...

REVIEW : SAMSUNG GALAXY A8+

Image
Samsung Galaxy A8 Plus 2018 The Samsung Galaxy A8+ looks good, delivers on battery life, has an excellent build quality and offers IP68 certification. If these aspects score higher over core performance and camera quality, you can consider the Samsung Galaxy A8+. However, if butter smooth performance and sharp camera performance is what you expect at its price point, the Samsung Galaxy A8+ falls short in comparison to the OnePlus 5T and Honor View 10, both of which are well rounded and offer much better value of the Samsung Galaxy A8+.  PROS Excellent build quality IP68 certified Good battery life CONS Sub-par camera quality Average performer Last year's Samsung Galaxy A-series, was in some ways a cut-down version of its flagship S-series of the phones. For this year's first A-series phone, Samsung has kept the core recipe pretty similar to its current flagship (Galaxy S8+). The phone is just as tall, runs on a similar software, is I...

REVIEW : MOTOROLA MOTO X4 6GB

Image
Motorola Moto X4 Review If you want to be the first to try out the new Moto Action and the AI-centric camera features before anyone else on a Moto phone, you are more than welcome. But do note that these features will be a standard across all Moto phones this year and especially the upcoming Moto G6 that is slated to launch at MWC 2018, which will be much cheaper than the Rs 24,999 price tag the Moto X4 (6GB) carries. The 6GB Moto X4 with 64GB storage now sits at the top, followed by the 4GB Moto X4 with 64GB storage and 3GB Moto X4 with 32GB of storage. So, the phone starts from Rs 20,999 and goes all the way up to Rs 24,999. Essentially, you have a version of Moto X4 for every budget in the Rs 20k-Rs 25k range. More choice is always welcome, but if there's little to differentiate between them, it only ends up confusing the buyer. PROS Premium Glass Design Moto Actions CONS High shutter lag in camera Extra RAM doesn't give any significant performance boost I...

RAZER BASILISK REVIEW

Image
Razer Basilisk Review The only appealing and functional feature for FPS gamers on the Razer Basilisk would be the sensitivity clutch or the sniper button. It's a removable clutch available in two different sizes, so that one can lower their sensitivity when needed. An additional feature which we loved is the customisable resistance on the scroll wheel. Essentially, you can increase or decrease the resistance or steps in the scroll wheel according to your preferences. Apart from these two features, the rest are pretty basic that you would find on any other gaming mouse in this price range. The Razer Synapse software has been improved drastically and now, it's easier to navigate and apply settings. Creating different profiles with different RGB lighting effects and macros is possible on this mouse. These profiles can be stored in the mouse depending on the amount of macros and lighting effects you add. An indicator at the bottom will display how many effects or macros can...

Huawei Honor 9 Lite 4GB Review

Image
Huawei Honor 9 Lite 4GB Price in India As the year drew to a close, a British anthology series premiered another season of exploring and contemplating the many facets of technology and how they impact our lives. I was reeling off a binge-watch of the season when the Honor 9 Lite dropped (cautiously) in my hands. The name of the series, Black Mirror, essentially means, "the reflection of an unlit computer screen", and when I noticed the all-glass design of the phone, the whole essence of the phrase became more apparent.  Honor's latest offering is all-glass-everywhere, perfected in a way that when the tall screen turned off, I was left rethinking my life as I saw myself. Essentially, the Honor 9 Lite is an stunningly good looking phone, but that's about it. Everything else about the phone is more or less mediocre and something that you would expect from mid-range phones anyway. The new glass design and the quad cameras seems to be just ticks on a checklist to...
