Airtel offers 3GB data for 1 day at just Rs. 49

Airtel has come up with a new prepaid pack priced at Rs. 49. This new tariff plan offers 3GB of 3G or 4G data and has a validity of 1 day. Notably, this plan is applicable only to select Airtel prepaid subscribers. The operator already has a prepaid pack costing Rs. 49, which offers 1GB of data and is meant for all users.

To avail this new Rs. 49 plan, the prepaid subscribers of Airtel have to open the MyAirtel app or visit the official website. This new pack will be seen in the Data section. Over here, users can check if they belong to the limited customers eligible for this offer.
If not, it will show only 1GB of 4G data as in the already existing plan.

Rival to Reliance Jio's plan

Reliance Jio also offers a Rs. 49 plan but this one has a validity of 28 days. However, the Jio plan is available only for the JioPhone users. It offers 1GB of 4G data and unlimited voice calls for 28 days.


4G upgrade plan
There is an upgrade offer as well for those who upgrade to a 4G smartphone. This tariff plan offers 30GB of free data to the users who upgrade to 4G smartphones. This offer can be availed by the Airtel subscribers using 2G/3G handsets and switch to a 4G compatible device.

 Other Airtel plans
In addition to the revamped Rs. 49 plan, Airtel also offers a slew of other plans such as Rs. 65 prepaid pack offering 1GB of data for a period of 28 days. The operator also offers a new Rs. 249 prepaid plan offering 2GB of data per day for a period of 28 days and revised its Rs. 349 plan to offer 3GB of data per day for 28 days. Earlier, the Rs. 349 plan offered 2GB of daily data. There is a Rs. 499 prepaid plan offering 2GB of data per day with a validity of 82 days. All these Airtel prepaid plans bundle unlimited voice calls without any associated FUP and free SMS benefits too.
Airtel is constantly offering new plans with attractive benefits for the prepaid users. The operator is also revising its existing tariff plans on a consistent basis to offer more benefits. This move by Airtel shows that the operator wants to stay afresh in the competitive telecom market space in India right now with an increasing challenge from Reliance Jio.
