OnePlus cryptocurrency teaser: Real ??
OnePlus sure knows how to sell its smartphones, offer a power packed device with high-end features and put a price tag that will attract someone seeking a flagship but at a lower cost. Besides, the company has been good at April Fool's day pranks too. In a recently launched video, co-founder Carl Pei is seen sharing company's vision beyond smartphones, and this year's joke seems to aim the biggest fad in 2017-2018 - cryptocurrencies.
This isn't the first time OnePlus tried to play a prank with its fans. The company has a history of such pranks. Its tiny drone was actually put on sale, and small quantities of the Dash Charge drink were made.
Besides the cryptocurrency prank, what's certain is the notched display on the OnePlus 6. Carl Pei had posted an image of their upcoming flagship smartphone which shows a part of the device and gives us an idea of how the notch will look like. Also, the exact dimensions of the smartphone's notch have also been revealed.
Pei made the revelations in an interview with The Verge and also detailed why they opted to embrace the display notch. The notch will house the selfie camera sensor, ambient light sensor, LED notification light, and earpiece.
Since there is no FaceID tech to be incorporated on the OnePlus 6, it will have a smaller notch falling somewhere between the iPhone X and Essential Phone. The notch will measure 19.616 x 7.687 mm.
Earlier, there were reports that the company might bring the X series back to life with the announcement of a new device. It is believed to be dubbed OnePlus X2. Dubbed as the OnePlus X2, the device might be unveiled after the OnePlus 6 and will be a cheaper alternative to the flagship device. It was said that this smartphone will be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 835 instead of the more powerful Snapdragon 845 chipset.

It is unclear if both the P20 and P20 Pro will come to India or only the P20 Pro. We expect the company to drop more teasers in the coming days.
Talking about Huawei's latest flagships, the main highlight of the P20 Pro is the Leica triple camera setup at its back.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 gets MIUI 9.5 update

Image result for miui 9.5
Lately, Xiaomi is hitting the headlines as it started rolling out the MIUI 9.5 update. The update was initially rolled out to the Redmi Note 4 followed by the Redmi Note 5 Pro. Then, the Redmi 3S and 3S Prime started receiving the update. Now, the latest device to start getting the MIUI 9.5 custom ROM is the Redmi Note 3.
Though the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, the best-selling smartphone back in 2016 received the MIUI 9.5 update, it is not the same firmware, which was rolled out to the other Xiaomi devices, especially the recent ones. We say so as the Redmi Note 3 is based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow even after receiving this update.
The MIUI 9.5 Global ROM has a rich set of features and improvements and the users might not miss the Android Oreo update. Still, the update to the Redmi Note 3 misses out on some notable changes as there are just UI updates and no new features have been added to the smartphone.
One of the important addition, which has been rolled out to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 by the MIUI 9.5 update is the January security patch. Also, there are some fixes to the bugs those were present in the previous version of MIUI. The update weighs in around 425MB and it carries the version number 9.5.1.0.MHOMIEK, claims a GSMArena report.
If you use a Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, then it is recommended that you download and install the MIUI 9.5 Global ROM using a Wi-Fi network so that you save the mobile data. If you have not received the notification for the OTA update, then you can check for the same manually by heading to Settings → Info → About Device → Software updates to know if the firmware update has been rolled out to your phone.
